In the Greece and Rome era, people thought dreams reflected our thoughts, nothing more. Some also say dream interpretation in Greece and Rome was considered art. People there, especially Romans, believed in prophetic and sought enlightenment from those who could interpret them. Dream clarifications for the Greeks was usually a way to decide the course of a medical surgery. Aristotle and Plato, two famous philosophers, had different ways of unraveling dreams. Aristotle was the one who believed dreams reflected our thoughts and feelings. On the other hand, Plato consider them divine messages.
In present times, deciphering dreams continues to be a topic of curiosity. Many methodologies exist, and separate cultures have different beliefs and customs.
